Muscoskeletal Radiology – this involves the imaging of bone and joint abnormalities which include Trauma and orthopaedic along with rheumatlogic conditions.
Gastrointestinal Radiology– this uses a form of x-ray called fluoroscopy which allows a barium based contrast material to produce images of the esophagus, stomach and the small intestine to diagnose any pain or abnormalities a patient will feel.
Interventional Radiology – involves minimally invasive imaging procedures to diagnose diseases in the organ system.
Urological Radiology – This involves the different ways in assessing a patients organs such as the kidneys, ureters, bladder and reproductive organs. Simple imaging techniques can be used or more complicated ones also.
Neurological Radiology – This involves the different ways in assessing a patient’s Brain or neurological pathways. Primarily utilises cross sectional imaging such as CT and MRI.
