About Mr Ghosh
Mr Raj Kucheria has been a consultant since 2012 after completing his Urology specialist training from Imperial rotation where he was also awarded the Simpson Travelling Fellowship. He has a specialist interest in managing kidney stones, urinary infections, prostate enlargement, erectile problems and urological cancers.
Clinical profile
Since 2014 he has also been appointed as clinical lead to integrate the inpatient and acute patient care for the urology department across all three sites.
Away from work, he has an avid interest in music, both contemporary and modern classical. He is also a keen player of Badminton and 5-a-side football.
Mr Kucheria has various publications for urological conditions and has research experience into recurrent urinary tract infection which he carried out at Guy’s Hospital. He is on the faculty of various national and international workshops in stone management and speciality training.

About Mr Ghosh
Mr Ghosh graduated from Grant Medical College, Bombay University, India in 1991 with an MBBS (1st class honours). His Higher Specialist Training was completed in Breast & Oncoplastic Surgery at University Hospitals of Leicester, Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge & Peterborough. His post CCT Fellowship was undertaken at the Royal Free Hospital London. He has spent time in many leading European centres training as a Visiting Fellow.
He has the distinctive honour of holding a dual qualification from the European Board of Surgery in Breast & Surgical Oncology.
Breast surgery offered
Debashis Ghosh is actively involved in breast surgery research, including the use of portable gamma camera for sentinel node biopsies. He is also involved in trials using intraoperative radiotherapy, seed localisation and radioactive iodine. He is currently working on the use of fluorescence in cancer surgery.
Mr Ghosh sees all patients as part of the One Stop Breast Clinic. Consultations are carried out in excellent facilities where, for breast cancer, radiology and pathology is available in the same consultation. A Specialist Breast care Nurse will always be on hand to provide additional support to each patient.
All patients who are treated are discussed at the MDT.
One Stop Radiotherapy will be offered to all eligible patients.
BRCA genetic defects and risks of breast cancer can be tested for suitable patients.
