Clinical profile

Mr Paddy Subramanian is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in treating patients with hip and knee disorders as well as patients who have sustained injuries and fractures.

He graduated from Imperial College with dual degree qualifications and trained in the prestigious UCL and Middlesex London orthopaedic rotation. During his training, he was awarded a scholarship to study at Oxford University where he undertook a MSc in musculoskeletal science.

Mr Subramanian successfully obtained and completed one of the UK’s high-volume prestigious arthroplasty fellowship programmes working with Professor Middleton in Bournemouth.

Prior to joining the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, he has built upon his consultant experience at the Whittington Hospital as well as at the SWLEOC (South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre).

    Research

    Mr Paddy Subramanian is a firm believer in evidence based healthcare.

    He has a strong research background with nearly 30 peer reviewed publications including authoring one of the most read (tongue in cheek) articles in the history of the British Medical Journal.

    His strong research background was fortified by completing a scholarship awarded MSc at Oxford University in musculoskeletal science.
    He has won numerous prizes including the Uren Foundation Prize at Imperial College on partial knee replacement surgery.
