Cardiology

The cardiology team at Hadley Wood Hospital provide a range of tests and procedures to help detect problems with the heart, blood vessels and heart rhythm.

Why choose Hadley Wood?

Our cardiology specialists see a range of patients of all ages, including those with a personal or family history of conditions like heart disease or arrhythmia (heart rhythm disorders), as well as people experiencing symptoms such as palpitations, breathlessness and fatigue and irregular heartbeats. These symptoms are very common and don’t always mean you have a problem with your heart, but we understand that they can be very alarming and distressing, and it is always best to get them checked by a specialist.

As well as detecting any abnormalities that may require further investigations and/or treatment, our consultants can advise on lifestyle changes that may help with managing your symptoms and general heart health.

Consultations

For us, the consultation is a key part of the patient journey. We are committed to ensuring all patients feel fully informed about their options and what a procedure entails, and supporting you in making the right decision for you.

Aftercare

Our cardiology procedures are carried out on an outpatient basis and are very safe, meaning you’ll be able to go home shortly afterwards and carry on with your usual activities. Some of our cardiology tests will require you to wear a monitor for 24 hours or a number of days. If this is the case, we will ensure you are fully equipped with all the advice and information you need and, if necessary, results and any next steps required will be discussed during your follow-up appointment.

Pricing

We welcome both self-paying patients and those covered by private health insurance. For further information and to discuss pricing and payment options, contact our referrals team on 0207 3177 7751 or rf.privateenquiries@nhs.net.
